R120 boete van body corperate oor diere
Hi daar

Sounds very peculiar. If they haven't complained before, it is odd for the Body Corporate to complain now. Have you checked the rules of the complex as to what these say about cats ? As I undertand it, the law in general, holds you responsible for what your Dogs do, as dogs can be trained ; but does NOT hold you responsible for what your cat does, recognizing cats as independent ceatures you cannot train. If there are other cats wandering around, how did anyon know it was YOUR cat)s) they were objecting to ? Maybe the SPCA or some other animal welfare group can advise you. And what on earth are your cat(s) supposed to have done ? --- that other cats have not done ? Sounds lore as though a cat hater has moved into the complex and is pushing their weight around. Isn't there someone reasonable or feiendly in the Body Corporate you can talk to ? And you'd need a legal opinion, but I don 't think they can demand a fine if this is not properly provided for in the rules and regulartions.
