Dear Cybershrink
I don’t know if this message is going to make any sense.
It feels as if I’m loosing touch with reality. Only what I see seems to be real, and even that doesn’t always feel real. Should I be concerned about it?

Dear Moon,
It's not that your message doesn't make sense : it does, to an extent ; but that the specific thing you seem to be describing is itself very hard to explain, to oneself or to other people. There are various possible causes for the sort of experience you're describing. There's even a technical term "Derealization". One may either find that you yourself sarts to feel "unreal" while the world around you seems real enough ; or that you feel real enough, but aspects of the world about you start to feel odly unreal. It can, for instance, be a less usual reaction to stress and anxiety, or there can be other causes. t's worth having it checked out, by seeing a psychiatrist who can give you a proper assessment, and, based on the results of that, advice on how best to get rid of this odd and unsettling sensation.
