seeking new job!
I have been in my present job for the past 4 years. 2003 was not a good year for the company financially. This worries me.

I would like to find a new job, but at the age of 48 I lack the courage to even go for an interview.

I like my job and the people I work with.S hould I just wait and see what happends with the company or should I put myself through the stress of finding a new job?

Advice from anyone would be welcome.
Thank you.

I really don't know what to do!!

Dear wtd,
Does it necessarily have to be either or, and not both ? And does it really have to be enormously stressful to at least look around for a possibly better job ? Of course, there'd be no point in changing except for a significantly better job in a company much stronger and more stable and likely to make it a permanent job. But you could find some of the exploring would put you better in the picture of the job market in your field ( and thus stand you in good stead if your present company does happen to wobble severely ), and even interviews could be looked on as practise, to add to your experience.
