sexual harassment at work
I work for a large organisation and our company has just received an attorneys letter charging one of our directors with sexual harassment of one of it's female employees. I and other females are now afraid that there may be other men who believe they have the right to do whatever they want. What protection can we demand of our employers if this is the sort of person they promote to directorship?????

rd, why some people get promoted to Directorships has become more and nmore of a mystery to me, the more I have learned about organizations. I wouldn't have thought, though, that if one director has been accused of sexual harrassment ( of which he may or may not be guilty ) that there's any particular reason for other women in the company to expect that they will now be harrassed, especially if this hasn't happened to you before now --- merely the fact that there is a case pending, would surely be enough to keep even the most leering directors zipped up and quiescent for some time, surely ?
Congratulate your colleague for having the guts to make a formal complaint and to allow the law aainst sexual harrassment to take its course. Purple's answer seems impeccable.
