The Book: " the secret"
I have a friend who' s absolutely hooked on this book and it' s " beliefs" .
She has now resigned her job to do Reiki as The Secret told her to. And that if she lives according to it' s " rules" or " ways" and just absolutely BELIEVES that she' ll make money and be ok she will.
I said but at the end of the month you will have no income! She said I don' t understand. She' ll " GET" money - all she has to do is believe it ..... She' s not a dumb woman she' s had extremely good jobs and has worked closely with CCMA cases etc.. HOW CAN SHE BE SO STUPID!

The real secret is how they managed to sell anything so inaccurate and unoriginal to so many people. And where it encourages anyone to give up their job to do exercises, it is harmful. But some people are compulsively gullible, and just adore finding a book of rules to govern them. Let her try believing in the income that qwill not arrive, and tell you at the end of the month how much there was, and where it came from.
