weekend away!
hi
i have been nominated to go for seminaar at work and my employer have booked me into 5 star game reserve (fully paid up)and said i should bring a partner, it will be for the whole weekend and the people im going with also have their partners.
i' m wondering if i will be killing myself by asking my ex to come with, we broke -up in jan because i coudn' t take the abuse anymore, he tried so many times to get us back together but i still didnt agree.
i was just thinking of enviting him with no string attached, just an outing. will that work??

Absolutely not. Why on earth reward an abuser by giving him a weekend of luxury ? And what a mixed message to send him, as though the abuse was all right ? Don't feel odd if you don't happen to have a partner to take on this weekend. It ought to be about whatever the seminar is supposed to be about, anyway, and won't be helped by your finding fraught emotional scenes with an ex in your hotel room.
