What really works
Hi there

At this moment in time i am on very strong benzo`s for my severe chronic anxiety and panic attacks,i am a 25 year old male,i have tried some antidepressants(Prozac,Aropax)but they did nothing for me and i used them for quite some time, this panic disorder is really messing up my life what is the strongest antipshycotic or antidepressant medication out there because i need something that will make me feel good and take away all the anxiety,i know this can not be done by medication alone but it sure helps a lot,i need my mind to be focused in one direction and the medication i need needs to be potent because trust me not even 2.5mg of Ativan works all information will be greatly appr.

Diferent medicines are not really stronger or weaker than each other, much depends on the dose we take. Sedatives are obviously more sedative the more we take ; but more dsedation isn't necessarily better for anxiety. I'd recommend that you seek a counsellor / therapist capable of using CBT (COgnitive Behaviour Therapy ) which can be powerfully effective here, and may let you need not to, or less to, rely on medications. And I hope that, rather than relying on a GP's advice, you will arrange to see a good local psychiatrist for a re-assessment and discussion of such treatment options
