will he do it ?
Been going with my b/f for over 7 years now . I did something illegal 5 years ago . I went to this job interview and they required that I must have a drivers licence and I failed it a couple of times and since it was a condition of employment , I really got desperate. It was a matter of commiting a crime or not getting the job I want. A friend refered me to someone who had good connections and I got my licence. The guy who tested me knew the deal and he let me pass. Paid my R500 and that was it and I got the job. My boyfriend knew all about this arrangement , I did not hide anything from him and he did not stop me . Life went on , we moved in together and I recently broke up with him because of his infidelity. He know threatens to blackmail me - by reporting me to the officials that I "bought" my licence . I'm now a perfect driver, never been involved in an accident etc. I've even attended an advanced driving courses , I'm competent . I know him , he does not bluff, when he promises to do something , he does it .he once sent me this article from news24 about cops cracking down on illegal licences and he said he's reported me already. I have;nt been contacted by anyone but I'm scared that they might be coming any time . You know the govt things take a long time . What can I do? I dont wanna go forward just in case he was just bluffing . what can u guys advise . ek is baie baie bang , en ek wiet nie wat om te doen nou. This is driving me insane , I get goosebumps everytime my phone rings. I've even changed flats and moved into another flat. Can they pick me up at work if they dont find me at my old residentila adress. My ex does not know where I now live

Blackmail is a crime, and if you do come to trouble over his snitching, you should lay criminal charges against him, for blackmail, and meanwhile try to see if you can get evidence of it --- for instance, if he puts anything in writing, or says anything which can be recorded or overheard by another witness. From the sound of it, you may have paid a man at the testing center, but you were tested and given a license through the normal channels. Maybe you performed well enough to pass anyway. It would be very hard to prove that you were an incompetent driver then, and that you were only passed because of the bribe. it would be very hard to prove anything, especially if you have since passed advanced driver courses, etc. Don't be so fearful. If it happens, you'll e able to deal with it, but it probably won't happen, and this fearfulness is what your horrible vengeful Ex was wanting to produce.
