worry pot...
Hi CS I am a perpertual worrier, i worry about things that can, might, maybe happen and most often the worst never does. I dont worry about unrealistic stuff but I dont know how to worry less. I recently read they were doing research on a new drug for general anxiety disorder and didnt know such a thing existed. Is it possible that I fall into this category and should investigate or can you give some advice. I am a happy person and have a good life (family, work and so forth) but just cant stop worrying. This causes me a lot of stress. Plse help
Sounds rather obsessive, Lyn, whether an obsessive personality style or an OCD ; and of course elements of a GAD Anxiety Disorder. BEst to see a good local shrink or at least a good local GP for assessment, and advice on diagnosis and thence management. Several varieties of treatment can be very effective here, including medication adn CBT style counselling
