A couple of questions about pregnant cat
My cat was on heat a while ago (about 3 weeks or so) and we had a beautiful male cat visiting.
I'm pretty sure by now she's pregnant, she has been acting strangely, her nipples are slightly swollen and she seems to be looking into funny places for a nest (like my cupboard) I was hoping she would use her own basket, but she seems more interested in my cupboard. I've also put her back on Hill Science diet Kitten food, which she loves.
her behavious is strange, last night for the first time another cat came into the yard and she was all yowling and spitting and attack mode (actually she looked very scared) I'm worried the other cat comes back.
any advice, on (1) how to get her not to have the kittens in my cupboard and
(2) I'm concerned for her safety and don't want her fighting with other cats, but I also don't believe in locking her in the house or anything like that.

The only way to prevent her fighting with other cats is to have her spayed. Fighting transmits serious viruses, specifically the feline AIDS virus. Once she has had these kittens, please have her spayed, it will be in her best long-term interests.
It will take her about two months after mating before she has kittens, so you still have some time to wait.
