Cat-fungal eczema
Morning all, my 3yr old persian went for a skin biopsy on Monday, he had what started off as a mild eczema, the vet treated him with ovarid for 2 months but it just got worse. i took him to another vet and this vet did the biopsy. He said he hasnt got the results yet but it looks like a severe fungal eczema that is going to take alot of time and money to heal. He looks terrible, most of his hair has fallen out already. My problems is that i love my cat so much but i dont think i will be able to afford his treatment to get him fixed, is there anyone out there whose cat had the same thing and who can maybe give me sum advise, maybe i can rectify the problem by changing his diet or relieving him of stress or something. A friend of mine said i must try "Herbal 9" and feed him tuna so the oil can nourish the hair cells ????

The most important thing you should do is to wait for the biopsy results before making any decisions. The biopsy results should tell exactly what the problem is so that specific treatment can then be prescribed. Until then, costs will also be uncertain.
