Cat to meet dogs??
My dad is moving in with us. He has a 2 year old cat that his entire existance revolves around. The cat is VERY spoilt and basically goes where he wants and does what he wants. The cat has never been around dogs. My problem is, I have two dogs. Both 4 years old. One German Shepperd and one Labrador. They are not used to cats at all and I am dreading them meeting their "Cat Uncle"!
Please what can I expect? What should we do to prevent a disaster? I am certainly not getting rid of or locking up my dogs and dad will die without his cat.
Dad will not be living in the house but in the Granny flat. The flat and the house shares the same outside area.

Keep the cat in for a couple weeks and slowly introduce it to the dogs. Do not let them get together unsupervised. This may take some time and patience.
