Cater waul - help please
I need any help/suggestions. My older cat (who adopted me) is causing some problems. He (not neutered) and the neighbour's cat (neutered male) is caterwauling every night and keeping everyone awake. They just sit there and stare at one another and then they start growling and it ends up with a big concert. I’m also afraid that the kitten (male, 4 months) will learn this behaviour.

Hi "Garfield"
This is not necessarily learned behaviour, but is instinctive to cats, especially entire toms when there are queens on heat somewhere or to assert their territory. Neutering him may help or giving him hormone treatment, but the most practical solution is to keep him in at night, at least until the habit has broken (a few weeks or months). You will have to shut all windows, have a litter tray for him at night and perhaps give him a mild sedative to stop him getting restless or howling in your house, at leasst for the first few nights. You could also try spraying both cats with the hose or a water pistol when they do the caterwauling, which may deter them.
