Female dog in heat?
Our 8 month old Chow cross Labrador has recently showed bleeding through her urethra for the past 3 days and I would just like to know if this is normal behaviour during ovulation for female dogs or if this is call for concern?
Either your dog is coming into season, in which case the vulva will be swollen, or she has a urinary tract infection, in which case she will urinate very frequently and with some discomfort. Just by looking at the vulva, you should be able to make the distinction.
