Fighting hamsters
My son has purchased two hamsters, presumably male and female. They do however fight and bite each other whenever they get close to each other. I am concerned that they might seriously injure each other. What could the reason be why they keep fighting?

Hamsters usually are solitary in nature, and only get together to procreate. It is quite usual for them to fight if kept together. I suggest you get two seperate cages for the 2 - they'll be much happier that way.
