Hind limb weakness in 9year old Staffie
Hi,
My 9 year old staffie has hind limb weakness. The dog had some injections, and is currently on Rimadyl(75mg x 2), which does not seem to work. However the dog is still eating, but not very active and I think he is in a lot of pain. Should I put the dog to sleep or is there something else I can do? He also has cancer in the lungs.
Please advise soonest.
Best Regards
Lana

This is not a question that I can simply answer without having all the details at hand and having performed a full physical evaluation. Your vet knows your dog better, and will be in a much better position to help you with this question. Please go back and discuss it with him. The deciding factor is usually the quality of life and the presence of pain and your vet will help you answer these questions.
