JACK RUSSEL - HAIRLOSS
Hi there, i have a Jack Russel of about 9 months old. His hair is all over the house. I feed him Pedigree dogfood and very little table food (about twice a week only). Please can you give me some advice on how to stop this hair loss.
I am also thinking about buying a female for him, how will he react to this newcomer? As far as i know it is better to have 2? How can i house train the new puppy?

If you read some of the previous replies in the archive you will see that this is a common problem in the breed, and you need to get used to this. As long as they are not dropping so much hair that they are showing bald patches, it is considered normal. Hair loss may be decreased by feeding a good quality premium diet and regular deworming, as well as general good health. Daily brushing with a hair removal brush will help limit hair loss, but not absolutely prevent it.
