Love Birds
We received 2 lovebirds as a gift, we have had them for a couple of months, they are a happy "couple" and very much in love always snuggling up 2gether etc...one of them flew away while our son cleaned their cage.
Should we get another one ? and how would we know if it should be male or female as we not quite sure if the one left behind is male or female :)

Your remaining bird would probably be much happier with a companion. The only way to tell the sex accurately is by having it either endoscopically or DNA sexed at an avian veterinarian. The distance between the pelvic bones is supposed to give an indication of sex as well, but is not very accurate.
