neuting at 7 years old?
Will neuting a doberman who is 7 years old help our male dog who keeps biting the doors and is also hyperactive, we having a baby soon and i am concerned about the dog. Will the op calm him down?

I'm afraid that neutering him is unlikely to change his behaviour at this age. However if you neuter him at the same time as putting in force some behaviour modification program, it is much more likely to help. I suggest you contact an animal behaviourist near you (ask your vet) for a consultation, before the baby is born if possible. The program will probably involve using calming bady language, understanding pack behaviour, so you can make him feel more secure and thus less anxious, and teaching him to behave differently using positive reinforcement techniques.
