re: Verbal kitty
she was in heat but she has been verbal since we got her

her and my other cat do not go outside at all as the place we live as incredably large violent dogs... ive seen them dragging our neighbours poor cat around the garden by its neck... it just plays dead then when they leave it runs away

my other problem is that she LOVES to eat raw potato.. especially just the skin... is this bad for her? is she lacking sumthing in her diet? I give them bob martins every morning, they always have fresh water and whiskas busicuits and singles

Hi Bunny
Your cat sounds like a character! Is she a Siamese or other oriental breed? I assume she is spayed now. If not she may be pregnant and having cravings for extra food......I'm sure raw potato skins are not bad for her and they do contain a lot of vitamin C. However anything unusual in excess may be poisonous, so consider that she may be lacking fresh greens, as she can't get outside to eat grass or other plants. Yes, cats do like to eat plants! You can compensate by getting special punnets of seed from the vet or petshop which you can grow for her or just get birdseed and grow it in a container, replacing it every few weeks. Other plants cats love are cat nip and valerian, which can be grown in pots on a sunny windowsill. You can also give her the odd bit of grated carrot, apple or cooked vegies. By the way indoor cats also love to chew on raw chicken wings as a treat now and then. They don't get to hunt and eat birds so this is a good compensation.
