Staffie Vomiting
My staffie was extremely ill a few months ago, vomiting everytime he eat or drank. After extensive tests, x-rays, scans, biopsies etc, they couldn't find what was causing it. Finally after a month of reducing his intake of food & water to 50ml's a few times a day the vomiting stopped. Now all of a sudden it has started up again, except he now also vomits in the middle of the night. He still has an appetite, but gets sick as soon as he drinks water. What should I do?
I can only recommend re-examination by your veterinarian, or referral to a specialist who deals with this type of problem. This condition will normally be investigated with ultrasound scans, blood tests and endoscopy (passing a camera into the stomach and intestine, and obtaining samples at the same time), or even explorative surgery. It is not always so easy to diagnose this type of problem immediately, however it must be followed up as the causes are sometimes potentially serious.
