Always hungry
Hi Doc,
I have an office job, sitting all day. Yet I find I am forever hungry. I eat fruit or provita (sometimes crips or chocolates) between meals. I drink about 6 glasses of water, 2 cups rooibos tea and 2 cups of decaf coffee a day. I am about 1,58
tall and weigh 52kg. I eat on a two hourly basis. Surely this cannot be the right thing to do!
Thank you
Jane.

Dear Jane
Seeing that your present BMI = 20,8, which is below the ideal for your height, your style of eating does not seem to be causing you to gain weight! If you can concentrate on eating healthy snacks (fruit, wholewheat bread, or crisp bread, yoghurt, cheese, dried fruit, nuts) then being a 'nibbler' is prefectly acceptable. Nibblers you eat only high-fat, fast-food snacks tend to gain weight and develop deficiencies.
Best regards
