Am I overeating?
Hi Doc,
I feel I might be overeating. My BMI is 21 so I am at a healthy weight. I rather have 5 small meals a day to help me cope as i've got low blood pressure and I have a tendancy to get dizzy spells. A typical day is as follows:
Bfast: Oats or Fruit Smoothie
Snack (10:00): Dried Fruit/Fruit/Nuts
Lunch: Salad (Normal/Rice/Pasta) or 1 Small Salad Roll
Snack: nuts/peanuts & raisins/fruit/dried fruit, etc
Dinner: two veg and/or salad, rice (or other carb) and a lean protein (normally chicken or fish)
Snack: Herbal Tea with a biscuit/rusk/raisins

Am I eating too much?!? Sometimes I feel as if I am - but when does having healthy choices become eating way too much?
I would still like to lose about 2 kgs just to get to 59 kgs which is where I know I'm at my healthiest?!?

Thank you so much for your input - I really appreciate your help!

Dear Chant
Your diet looks suitable, except that you don't consume sufficient milk and dairy to provide you with calcium to prevent osteoporosis later in life. Use fat-free milk, yoghurt and cottage cheese so obtain calcium, protein, vitamins and other minerals without the fat. Your BMI is already below the ideal of 22 so don't force your body to lose even more weight.
Best regards
