Dear Chrissy
I can't really judge how overweight you are because you don't list your height in metres and present weight in kg. If your BMI is between 18 and 25 (the normal range) then you will struggle to lose weight because the body resists losing weight when it is in the normal range. Check your own BMI by clicking on 'Diet' at the top of this page and then on 'Tools'. Constant 'weight cycling' (gaining and losing weight repeatedly) can also at some stage disrupt normal metabolism. I can only suggest that you reduce your energy intake by eating an energy-reduced, low-fat, high-fibre diet (click on 'Diet' at the top of this page, 'Weight loss' , ‘The right approach' and then on 'Slimming Diet' for a copy of such a diet), and keep up the exercise. Over time you should lose what you gained for Christmas.
Good luck
