Hi! Doc, I just wanna know if having 3 weetbix with low fat milk for breakfast and 4 slices of toasted brown bread with Blossom lite margarien and 2 boiled eggs for lunch everyday fattening and I go 2 the gym 5 days a week: cycle, walk, jog, aerobics and weight training. Pls help......
Dear Tia
No these foods should not cause you to gain weight esp if you are exercising so intensively. You may however, find that eating the same foods every day can get very monotonous - try some low-fat equivalents such as lean meat or chicken, baked beans, tuna canned in water, or fat-free cottage cheese for the lunch so that you don't eat so many eggs (14 a week is too much!). The SA Heart Foundation recommends that one should not eat more than 4 eggs per week.
