Hello

Im going to start a gym course where I would like to both build some muscle but tone and lose some flab. Can you suggest a diet to help with this.

To lose weight you need to combine a weight loss diet (i.e. a balanced diet with a reduced energy content, so start cutting out fats) with your exercise. Click on 'Diet' and 'Weight loss' and 'Slimming Diet' for a copy of a low-fat, energy-reduced diet which you can use. You don't really need to increase your protein intake to build muscle as most South Africans eating a western diet eat more than enough protein anyway.
