Most diet pills which suppress the appetite will actually cause weight loss, but these pills have many negative side-effects and are not really recommended because you can also get addicted to them. Xenical works well, but is not really used if the patient only needs to lose a few kgs. It is also expensive. Ask your gp about products such as Reductil, which should help you to lose some weight if used with a reduced energy diet.
