what is the best form of exercise to do to lose weight, and how often? i belong to a gym and with a moderate diet am finding that three times a week is not enough. i do cardio for 40 min and weights for 25min?

You need to do aerobic exercise such as cardio, rowing, spinning, treadmill, swimming and cycling to burn energy and lose weight. Working with weights will in contrast firm you up. According to experts worldwide we need at least 30 min or more of aerobic exercise a day, so you could either do an additional session at the gym once a week, or go for brisk walks for 30 min a day on those days when you don't go to gym.
