fastening teeth
My cousin has recently fastened her upper teeth and bottom teeth together in order to avoid eating as she believes that this method will help her in lossing weight. She cannot open her mouth and I would like to know from you if this is healthy or not?
Dear Hope
This method can be used for extreme overweight, but I doubt that your cousin falls into this category. She needs to be under medical supervision to ensure that she ingests sufficient fluids and essential nutrients. If she tied her own teeth together and is not even sipping water through a straw, then you need to take her to a medical dr ASAP as this could be very harmful and even fatal.
