Food diary
Hi Doc,
I've started to keep a food diary to see when & how much I eat...the problem is, I don't know how much is normal/overeating?!? What's the use of keeping a food diary if you can't tell normal/overdone? Can I ask your advise on my food diary from yesterday so you can give me guidelines to help me with this process?
Eat:
1 Pear, 1 Banana & Taystee Wheat
1/2 Fruit Bar & Kellogs Bar
Tuna Mayo on Brown bread
1 Rusk & 1 Banana
Chicken Mushroom Pasta with Side Salad
Dried Mango & Raisins (handfuls)
Drink:
7 glasses water
1 cup each: Rooibos T, Cuppicino, Green T & Hot Choc
Exercise:
1 hour V-dance class - good cardio!
I weigh 62.5 kgs, am 1.7m tall & have body fat% of 25.7%...
Your input would be greatly appreciated!
Kind Regards

Dear CC
Your diet is certainly not excessive and seems reasonably balanced, except that you need to add 2-3 cups of fat-free milk or yoghurt to your daily intake to ensure that you ingest 1000 mg of calcium daily. Your BMI = 21,6, which is ideal for your height so you don't need to cut down on your food intake. Your body fat is close to normal for adult women (24%) and will decrease if you keep up the good work with the exercise.
Enjoy
