If you ingest too much glucose (which is a sugar) then this could push up your weight. If you are trying to gain weight then a moderate amount of glucose will probably not harm you, but take care that you don't overdo things and then gain too much weight. You obviously want to build muscle, not put on fat? Stick to 1 tablespoon 3 times a day.
