Hey all - a bit of a strange q (well, questions...), but here goes:
What makes an introvert be an introvert, and vica versa? The obviuous answer is personality, but I mean, what makes some poeple more shy than others? Has it got to do with the environment they grew up in or the parents influence on your life when you were brought up? Can an intovert become an extrovert and when an individual is introverted, does that mean he/she is just shy?
On the flipside, why are some people more "people-persons" than others? Is this a skill that can be aquired (being able to communicate easier with other people)?

Losta questions I know, but you get the jist....

Dear Monique
I would like to comment but as I am the Diet Expert, I think you need to ask CyberShrink this question. I believe that it is nature and nurture - people are born with a certain type of personality but their environment can also make them either more extroverted or more introverted. Imagine an extrovert who lands up in a relationship with a domineering, manipulative person who 'punishes' the extrovert for being outgoing and jolly. If the extrovert sticks in this relationship she will have to become introverted to survive.
