losing muscle not fat?
Over 50 's , start exercise at gym, doing circuit etc, but losing muscle not fat? what about creatine for us over 50's girls?
Dear Muscles
You don't mention if you are also on a diet? If so you need to ensure that you are ingesting sufficient carbohydrate to sustain your energy output otherwise the body will start using up muscle tissue as fuel. If you click on 'Fitness' at the top of this page and then on 'Nutrition' you will find information about 'Diets for Sportsmen and women' and also about supplements. There are many excellent carbo supplements available to boost energy intake and spare protein to prevent muscle losses. Creatine is usually only used if sportsmen and women do very strenuous exercise and are training to increase their performance.
Best regards
