Dear Kate 'n Co
A healthy balanced diet which contains all the food groups will help to build strong muscles. Muscle injuries are usually caused by insufficient warming-up before events, exercising too much without allowing the muscles to recover properly after exercise, and accidents, so there is not really any specific food that can prevent them. If the blood tests showed that your son is not deficient in terms of any nutrients then he is probably already eating a balanced diet. If he has used sports supplements (?) esp those that contain creatine, then this may be contributing to the problem.
