On a diet

I'm 25 and I weigh 70kg I started at 74 and have lost 4kg so far just in about 2 months just by eating smaller portions than I was used to and not starving myself.

I recently sarted to add exercise into my plan and have joined a gym I find that when I perform an easy run on the treadmill for 30 minutes I am breathless and that's to be expected and the last time I got a bit dizzy & I thought that obviously I'm over exerting myself too much too soon and I took a cup of water with sugar.

I'm just starting to manage my sugar levels how do I do this and still exercise. Can I take drinks like Powerade and how do I incorporate this into my loosing weight plan.

Well done that you have managed to lose those 4 kg by eating sensibly. Exercise is excellent for losing weight, but I would suggest that you have a medical checkup seeing that you get breathless and feel dizzy just to eliminate any underlying problem such as hypertension. If your dizziness is caused by low sugar levels then you can certainly use one of the energy drinks like Powerade. Sip the drink while you are exercising and also have a small amount when you are finished (about 100 ml). But have the checkup first because it is always safer. Including some Powerade in your diet will not make you fat and it will prevent hypoglycaemia induced by exercise.
