Overweight before pregnancy
Dear Doc

I am 28 and about 12 kg overweight at the moment. We are trying for a baby but are worried that I will pick up more weight during the pregnancy and then struggle to loose the weight afterwards. I thought of joining Weigh Less but has left it too long. Do you think I should still join although I might be pregnant in the near future? What is my options?

Thanks for jour input.

Dear Baby
You can certainly join Weighless as this is an excellent weight loss programme which uses a balanced diet to achieve weight loss. You don't know how long it will take to fall pregnant and every week that passes could have produced a weight loss of 1-2 kg, so do take this action and also do some exercise while you wait to fall pregnant - join Walk for Life as brisk walking is good for weight loss and can also be continued once you are pregnant provided your dr gives permission.
Good luck
