PEANUTS AND RAISINS(SUGAR LEVELS)
Hello Doc
Thank-you very much for your respons back on my question, I will go see a dietrician but for now I still have to work, one question please doc, why if I feel so sick and dizzy and I eat some raisins and peanuts I feel better, I feel so nausia most of the time, I do not feel like eating anything but I force myself to eat raisins and peanuts and then I feel better, Can I then stick with this for a while until I feel better to eat something else.
Thanks amanda

Dear Amanda
Yes, raisins and peanuts will help to raise your blood sugar levels and keep them constant for longer periods, thus combatting the nausea. Rye bread with cheese or peanut butter will also help. These symptoms really do point towards hypoglycaemia and the sooner your get to see a dietitian the better because you need to be given a diet that controls your blood sugar all the time (e.g. foods with a low glycaemic index (GI) and 6 or more small meals a day).
Hope this problem gets sorted out soon
