RDAs have been formulated by nutrition experts all over the world to specify how much of each nutrient the average person requires to maintain good health. Essential amino acids are building blocks of proteins which humans are not able to produce in their bodies, and therefore have to obtain them from the diet. If you are a male between the ages of 18-50 you require 2900 cal or 12100 kJ per day on average.
