Seltzer Flavoured Water
Hi Doc

how are you? I tried the Seltzer flavoured water today for the first time, I had a Litre, the label reads as follows,

Per a 100ml serving:
Energy: 77
Total Carbs: 4.6g
Total fat: 0g
Protein:0g
Sodium: 5mg/l, is it okay to have a litre, or not, its my frist time trying it, would it be okay for a person to have it every day or not, and its Ingredients are

Carbonated Spring water, Glucose, Fructose, Vitamin C, Citric Acid and natural flavouring.

Contains no fruit juice, no artificial preservatieves , no additives, no colourants

If you drank a litre of this water and it contains 77 (I presume kilojoules?) per 100 ml, then 1 litre would contain 770 kJ which represents 12,2% of your daily energy allowance if you are trying to lose weight. This a quite a lot for a food or beverage that contributes nothing to the diet except some vit C. It means that you can't use 12% of your energy for meals or snacks. So if you are slimming then I would recommend that you rather drink tap water or plain bottled water that does not contain any glucose, fructose of other sugars, or soda water if you are thirsty. If you are not slimming then a litre of this water would contribute 9% of your energy intake and could be used, but not in excess.
