Suddenly can't concentrate
Hi DietDoc

I suddenly have the attention span of a gerbil.

I have always been known to work quick and efficiently at my IT job – munching through each task with great gusto. Till recently. For the past two weeks, I’ve been battling to concentrate or focus on anything and I feel like my lack of attentiveness is affecting my work! (which hasn't changed in anyway; I feel its me thats changed?)

Do you have any advice for this ‘lazy brain’ problem?

Dear Reader
The inability to focus may be due to underlying depression, anxiety, plain old exhaustion (are you getting sufficient sleep?), boredom, frustration or conditions such as anaemia or lack of B vitamins. If you are not depressed, anxious, exhausted, bored or frustrated and this condition persists, then it may be a good idea to use a complete vitamin and mineral supplement like Centrum or Supradyn Forte and Salmon oil capsules, to boost your intake of vitamins, minerals, and essential omega-3 fatty acids. Also try taking brisk walks in the fresh air. If this does not help then please go for a medical checkup.
Good luck
