Dear Ann
Generally speaking it is better to eat a light supper because if you stop eating at 14h00 and then only eat again at 6h00, this entails a 14 hour starvation period which can have negative physiological effects: a) Low blood sugar and poor mental and physical performance, b) Overeating at other meals. Research has shown that individuals who skip meals, tend to overeat at subsequent meals to try and compensate for the starvation period. I would rather recommend that you spread the 6000 kJ over 3 meals or even better, over 6 small meals spaced over the entire day.
Best regards
