Tired after eating
I am often very tired after meals. It happens with smaller or larger meals. Am I eating something that is not good for me, or do you think it is something else?

Dear Linda
This type of symptom may indicate a problem with your blood glucose levels, so if it persists and you feel weak and wobbly after eating please have a medical checkup so that you can find out if your blood glucose and insulin levels are normal or not. On the other hand, people do tend to feel sleepy after meals because a lot of the blood supply is rerouted to the abdomen to help with digestion and this leaves less blood available for the brain which then may want to switch to sleep mode.
