Not actually. It is also not a good idea to overdo water intake above 1,5-2 litres a day as this would wash important minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and even sodium out of the body. Weight loss is achieved by reducing energy intake (use a low-fat, high-fibre diet) and by increasing energy expenditure by doing regular exercise.
