I am trying to at least drink my 2 liters of water per day. However, I cannot seem to drink water straight from the tap as it makes me vomit. The water has to come out of the fridge. I always spice it up with a dash of lemon juice. I also have two cups of boiling water with a dash of lemon juice in the morning. My boyfriend insists that it is unhealthy to drink water from the fridge. Please advise.

Dear Nollie
Firstly I think that you are drinking too much water - 2 litres and 2 cups a day is too much. Even a good habit can be harmful if taken to excess. You only require about 4 cups of water (about 1 litre) a day in addition to your other liquids, otherwise you will wash important minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium and sodium out of your body and cause electrolyte imbalances.. It makes no difference if you drink water at room temperature or out of the fridge. Remember to rinse your mouth after drinking the lemon juice flavoured water because lemon juice can erode your tooth enamel.
Take care
