Dear Jolly
International experts recommend that you ingest 2.5 litres of FLUID per day (this includes all the beverages you may be drinking, as well as any additional water you may ingest). If it is very hot or if you do strenuous exercise, then you can increase your FLUID intake to about 3 litres a day. One method of calculating your liquid requirements is to multiply the calories you ingest by 1, thus if you are eating 2 200 calories a day, then you would need 2,2 litres of fluid (not only water) a day.
