Drinking water and other liquids to ensure a daily intake of 2,5 litres per day (adults) is a good idea to keep you hydrate. However, drinking vast amounts of water at any temperature (cold, hot, warm, etc) will not cause fat loss and can be potentially harmful. Only a reduction in energy intake and an increase in energy output (exercise) will cause the body to lose fat.
