Weight loss query
Is it true that the first 10kg that you lose is water?
Dear Wendy
No, during weightloss people tend to lose fat and if their diet is unbalanced, they also lose muscle tissue (which is not desirable). If you are using harsh laxatives and diuretics (often found in herbal and over-the-counter slimming pills), then you may be losing a lot of water, but the moment you drink any liquids, this weight will return.
Best regards
