am i infertile
Hi

I have been trying to have a baby for the last 6 months i have a 4 year old daughter. i was using Minesse tablets for the past 2 years and my periods were regular. In January i had all symptoms of pregnancy from nausea, cravings, to a seemingly expanding waistline but i got my period for the next two months with a month where i went on within 14days of my last period. now i have missed my period for two months but i am not pregnant i did a home test. Does all this mean i am infertile i have been targeting my ovulation days but without my periods now i am lost. i am about to give up. i am 29 and overweight according to BMI could this be affecting me

Dear Lulu

The course of the events that you have described reflect an underlying hormonal imbalance. The symptoms are fairly consistent with Polycystic ovarian disease and this intern results in anovulation (failed ovulation). I would recommend that you have a hormone profile evaluation done and also that you consider weight reduction to improve your chances of ovulating and therefore conceiving.
