Day 21 bloodtest
Hi Doc

I was on 100mg clomid from day 5-9 of my cycle. I am sure that I ovulated on day 18, had the pains and egg like discharge.
I now must go for my 21 day bloodtest to see if I have ovulated.

Will it be better to go a few days later, as I ovulated later in my cycle and not on day14.

Dear KO

The day 21 progesrerone test is only applicable to those patients who ovulate on day 14 or day 15 of the cycle. The ideal time to do a day 21 progesterone test would be 7 days after ovulation has occured. If you are certain that you have ovulated on day 18 then the progesterone test should be timed for day 25 or 26 of the cycle. However if you are in doubt then I would recommend that you do two progesterone tests one on day 21 and another one later on day 24 or 25 of the cycle so that both possibilities have been excluded
