Femtrace for IVF
Hi doctor,
I'm tarting my very first IVF cycle soon. I have been prescribed Femtrace 0.9 mg, to be taken from this pre-cycle day 21 (in about a week).
In my extensive research on the web, most women have been prescribed Lupron or a variation of that. I haven't come across a signle instance of Femtrace being used as an Estradiol for IVF. Is this an OK procedure? Is it as effective as Lupron etc?

It is certainly very,very unusual to utilise a estrogen fron day 21 of your cycle in an IVF program. I would suggest that you call your fertility doctor immediately to discuss the protocol. I am certainly not aware of any protocols where estrogen is used from day21 and cannot understand the rationale behind this.
